Quick answer: Digital Foundry found the Switch 2 demo smoother than the PS4 version in motion, but standing still shows a stepped pattern on the vertical axis that DF thinks is an unintended DLSS issue.
Metaphor: ReFantazio doesn't launch on Switch 2 until November 12, 2026, but there's a demo out now, and Digital Foundry has taken a close look at it. According to Nintendo Life's write-up, the results are a bit of a mixed bag.

In motion, the game looks really good. The PS4 and PS5 versions suffer from shimmering because of a general lack of anti-aliasing, while the Switch 2 version comes across as surprisingly smooth. Nintendo Life even suggests it may look better than the PS5 version while you're moving.
Standing still is where it gets strange. The horizontal axis looks sharp and clear, but there's a stepped pattern on the vertical axis that produces some pretty severe jagged edges. DF's theory is that DLSS is in use, but the upscale isn't working properly on the vertical axis. Movement cleans it up to a degree. DF believes it's a genuine mistake on Atlus' part rather than something intended, so it's a wait-and-see on whether it gets fixed.
Even with the issue, DF still rates the Switch 2 version as much more visually appealing than the PS4 version, with the PS5 version just about coming out ahead overall.
